Energizing with Earth's Natural Gems
By Jamaree
What is your source of power, your source of energy that keeps you going? Do you have one primary source, or do you have many influences that keep you going?
Perhaps your source is your specific passion that you grind all your free time through, or perhaps you have little pieces of inspiration, joy, and energy that get you through the day. We have our basic fundamentals, such as good rest, nutrition, and health, for ensuring we can function through our days. But what additional elements, enjoyments even, do you use to boost your energy in different ways? Do you ever reflect on your habitual energy boosters and which others out there would work exponentially better for you?
It's mid-day and you still have a couple hours left of the work to do, but you're drained, feeling that afternoon drag. How do you boost your energy a bit? Play a little music? Many people relax, unwind, get motivated or pumped up to music. Some draw, do a puzzle, get up and take a walk, maybe even go outside, gaze up at the clouds or the starry night sky. My hubby plays on his hand pan. He gets into a rhythmic meditational trance of sorts when he plays; and I reap sweet benefits, because the music is such a calming blend of groovy and zen.
Amazingly, gemstones naturally come in the entire vibrant array of colors, and you can combine them however you like.
Though some combinations of gemstones are said to cancel out some of each other's energies, for the most part, they compliment each other quite well. While each stone has specific metaphysical properties, they generally align with color mood effects, so it's easy to remember.
White and cream gemstones are often associated with tranquility, hope, purity of thought, and inner balance.
If you were to close your eyes, and visualize clean, white snow on trees, do you feel quiet and peaceful? Yeah, me too. White shaded stones are wonderful for meditation and reflection. Some dreamy white stones include Moonstone, White Jade, Quartz, Opal, River Stone, Agate, and Howlite.
Black and dark gray stones are powerfully protective, and help shift negative thoughts to positive.
Brown and tan hued stones are grounding, help us feel connected to nature, also providing comfort and a sense of security.
Yellow makes us think of the bright sun in the sky, bold-colored sunflowers, and dancing butterflies, invoking a sense of joy, optimism, and abundance.
Red and orange are associated with courage, stamina, and creativity.
Green is a direct connection to all things nature, as you can feel and almost smell the leafy plants blooming around you.
Shades of blue are vivid yet calming, like the vast skies or the magnificent oceans.
Rich purples were worn by royalty, believed to provide a connection with spirituality, guidance, and the heavens.
When designing bracelets, I start with what type of energy we're looking to build.
Imagine yourself a crowded room, but instead of feeling cramped or the pressure of having all eyes on you, you're able to breathe, you feel an invisible barrier of protection, your thoughts are clear, and each inhalation brings more confidence.
